Your body already does the cleaning
No cleanse needed. Take in less of the few things that matter, and add more of what helps.
No cleanse needed
Your liver, kidneys, gut and lungs clear most of what your body takes in, every day, without help. Detox diets promise to speed that up. A review of the evidence found very little to support them, and no randomised trials of commercial detox diets in people Klein and Kiat, 2015.
Two levers that work
What works is plainer. Take in less of the few things that matter most, and add more of what helps. I keep those two apart on purpose, so the good things you add never get lost behind the things you cut back.
Big stones first
Start with the big ones the app puts first, like radon, smoke indoors and carbon monoxide, before small ones like the fragrance in a shampoo. A few changes at the top of the list do more than many changes at the bottom.
